grandmas

We were very lucky to have both grandmas come visit Faye. Although I'm sure she enjoyed having them here, it is I who will miss them the most.

This picture was taken two weeks ago. She seems to have already grown much from this time.

One of her outfits from her "fall collection"

Getting ready for Halloween, thanks to grandma

Morning time with grandma is really great because I get to shower. Faye is pretty cuddly in her pj's.

Sporting her shirt and we're working hard on thigh rolls.

Hanging out at the Lion Country Safari in West Palm.

First week at church. She got a lot of attention in her pretty dress.

Land of Nod

Little Faye loves bath time and is exhausted by all the growing she's doing.

faye is here!

Faye is here and we feel so blessed to have her in our home. Everything during delivery went well and we just can't get over how beautiful she is. I was going to write her birth story, but i'll just post pictures for now. Welcome Faye!

Day before delivery

 She loves her pink pants
On our way home. Looks like she's going to do well on road trips

Just for the Shell of It

Over Labor Day Weekend we made a weekend trip to Fort Myers, Naples, and Sanibel Island. It's only a 1.5 drive away and much less congested than the east coast where we live. We went to the beach, read, and ate good food. It was great and too hot to do anything else. The water was 87 degrees and there were zero waves. As you can see from the map, Sanibel Island is perpendicular to the current so it acts as a shovel in collecting shells.

There are some neat flowers here, like this one.

The beaches are covered thick in shells as you can see

Our view for most of the trip. There were also dolphins here, but a bit too quick for me to be captured on camera.

The Sanibel shelling stance.

Clayton shelling. At least I got one picture with us in it.

Here's a few pictures as requested (mostly by moms) of some things we've been working on for the Girl coming soon... here we are at 35 weeks and getting that chubby pregnant look, but feeling great. Can't really say I feel too different than usual besides having difficulty dressing a basketball under my shirt in this crazy hot weather and feeling more tired than usual. We're hoping she moves out of breech position soon or else we'll have to put her in "time out" when she's born, according to Clayton.

Dresser before... took us about four weekends to sand this thing and then we finally got an electric one that saved us from sanding for another four weekends. Technology can be wonderful.
 Sanding

After: about two months later. The nursery is coming along, but bare. We still need to put pictures up etc but here it is until then
